Tech Tennis this week (April 5-10)

T-Babes (13-6/8-2)
The Babes are ranked #17 in this week's ITA national rankings and are tied for 2nd with Duke and Miami behind 9-0 Cheaters.

Schedule this week:
Friday - 3pm at UR Louisville (7-12/0-10, last in ACC)
Sunday - 12pm at #45 Notre Dame (10-9/4-6, tied for 10th in ACC)

A road sweep seems probable this weekend. The T-Babes have a huge home weekend coming up hosting #2 UNC and #8 Duke the following weekend which will be the final regular season matches before the ACCT and then NCAAT. Getting some quality wins here at the end of the regular season and making some noise at Cary would help the chances tremendously of being selected to host a NCAAT regional May 6-8. And that certainly enhances the chance of getting to the Round of 16 at Tulsa the following week.

T-Dudes (14-5/7-2)
The Dudes are ranked #31 in this week's ITA national rankings and are in 3rd place in the ACC. UNC (#1), UVA (#3), Wake (#6) and FSU (#23) are the ACC teams ahead of the T-Dudes in the national rankings, though FSU lies 1 game behind the Dudes in the ACC standings.

Schedule this week:
Friday - 5pm home vs #3 Virginia (17-3/7-1, 2nd in ACC)
Sunday - 12pm home vs #40 Virginia Tech (13-6/5-4, 6th in ACC)

The Dudes have 1 ACC match left before the ACCT after this upcoming weekend and that is at #1 UNC.

T-Dudes take care of the Buzzards on Senior Day. Tech moves to 15-6/8-3 and has a huge match next week at the Cheaters and needing a win to seal a top 4 seed at the ACCT.

T-Babes Note: keeping an eye on the French match at the beautiful cow pastures of Southwest Virginy. French won the doubles point and won 3 of the 6 first sets in singles. A French win guarantees the T-Babes a top 4 seed and not having to open at the ACCT until Friday.
