T-Babes (15-6/10-2)
The T-Babes are ranked #16 in the nation this week, up from #17 a week ago. The Babes have clinched a top 4 seeding at the ACCT and will start play on Friday, April 22. Currently, the T-Babes are tied with Miami for 2nd in the ACC. Two very tough matches are coming up this week at home...

Friday 3pm vs Duke - the Devils are ranked #8 in the country and 16-4 overall & 9-2 in the ACC. A win by the T-Babes would guarantee no worse than a 3rd seed at the ACCT.

Sunday 12pm vs Cheaters - the Cheaters are ranked #2 in the nation and 24-2 overall & 12-0 atop the ACC. This will be Senior Day for Megan Kurey, Natasha Prokhnevska and Kendal Woodard, though we all hope the T-Babes will be awarded hosting a first weekend NCAAT regional May 6-8 (read: won't be their last match at the Byers Tennis Complex).

Miami has the tie-breaker with a 7-0 win over the T-Babes back in January as well as has two gimme wins left so Tech won't get higher than a 3-seed barring a huge upset. I can't see the Cheaters losing to both Clemson and the T-Babes. Gotta figure we wind up as either the 3- or 4-seed and that will be decided by the outcome of the match Friday versus Duke. Finishing 4th and then having a solid ACCT may assure hosting a NCAAT regional. Winning one of these matches this weekend and/or finishing 3rd may do it as well. The T-Babes have won 9 of their last 10 matches.

T-Dudes (15-6/8-3)
The T-Dudes are ranked #30 in the nation this week, up from #31 a week ago. The Dudes are currently tied for 3rd in the ACC, but have not guaranteed a top 4 seed at the ACCT. FSU, who is tied with our guys, has the tie-breaker over us. The Dudes have one match remaining and it will be tough and huge...

Friday 3pm at Cheaters - the Cheaters are ranked #5 in the nation and 22-3 overall & 7-3 in the ACC. That is currently 5th in the ACC, though they have 2 matches left (also face Duke this upcoming Sunday). If the T-Dudes can somehow upset the Cheaters Friday, we guarantee a top 4 seed. A loss moves us to the 5-seed and forces us to play on Thursday instead of opening Friday. Having said that, the Thursday match would be against the winner of the 12-13 match on Wednesday so should be a win.

The T-Dudes have won 8 of their last 10 matches.

The T-Babes are the shining stars as far as programs go across the GTAA this school year.

Volleyball improved, but still came up short for the postseason. Football was a nightmare. MBB and WBB made exhibition postseason. Golf is as down as it has been in 30 years. Jury is still out on beesball, but optimistic we will make the NCAAT this year (subject to change with a shaky rotation).

T-Dudes are doing well and T-Babes are doing the best. Otherwise, it has been yet another depressing year overall. With emphasis on "yet another", Mr. Bobinski.

Valiant effort by the T-Dudes comes up short at The Land of Cheaters. Jackets were up 3-2 but lost close matches at the end. That should build the confidence of the T-Dudes though and prove to themselves that they can play to the end with a top 5 team.

T-Babes are 3-3 with Hourigan up 5-2 in the final set of this marathon. Going on near 4 hours now. A win clinches a 3-seed at worst for the T-Babes at the ACCT and registers a W over a top 10 team, which helps the chances significantly of getting to host a regional in the NCAAT.

T-Babes get it done 4-3 over the Jersey gals. Nice!

The 3-seed opens the ACCT at 10am on Friday, April 22.

The T-Dudes will be the 5-seed at the ACCT next week in Cary, NC. This means the Jackets open Thursday at 4pm versus the winner of Wednesday's 12-vs-13 match between Louisville and Boston College. Tech defeated BC 6-1 and Louisville 5-2 during the regular season.

An expected T-Dudes win will pit them against the 4-seed (likely FSU) on Friday at 4pm. The Noles defeated the T-Dudes in Tallahassee 5-2 earlier this season. Tech was up and in great shape when outdoors before a storm rolled in and the Noles took control after the delay and eventually moving indoors.

T-Babes put up a strong effort but go down 4-3 to the #2 Cheaters. Next up, 3-seed at the ACCT on Friday at 10am.

Bury the "mooch". Don't respond to his thread, even as a joke.
We know that the official camera for the T-Babes is Nikon Snapbridge.

The last 10 are wonderful as it exhibits the tension and joy of the team in winning a big match over a top 10 team from New Jersey.

When the rankings come out tomorrow, I am hopeful the T-Babes will move up from #16 quite a bit after beating #8 and then taking #2 to the final wire yesterday. Hosting a NCAAT regional is looking better right now. A nice showing in Cary this week will help. This team is rolling right now. Have won 10 of last 12 matches and the 2 losses were 4-3. Peaking at the right time? Let's hope.
