The Good
  • No significant injuries - team appears it should be pretty close (with a few exceptions) to full strength heading up to Michiana
  • Matthew Jordan looked comfortable and confident in the #2 QB role
  • We don't have the Tulane special teams
  • 3 different guys caught TD passes, 8 different guys scored...great for team chemistry
  • Another awesome punt return by Golden...kudos to the return team (he can't do it all on his own)...just waiting for the moment when he takes one to the house...maybe he can deliver a ball to Touchdown Jesus this upcoming Saturday
  • 6 tackles for loss including 3 sacks
  • I got to do the Safety Dance which is always a rare thrill...

The Bad
  • The early fumble on the option pitch to Snoddy was ugly...maybe I should move this down to "The Ugly" below
  • We actually punted once in this game - what the hell is going on? ;)

The Ugly
  • Tulane Football - sheesh!

I was pleased with Jordan too. TD run was a gimme, if this offense can't score on 9 players, the QB MUST be kicked off the team.

But for sure his other drive was excellent too.

I would like to say this about that, Tanner Hill is going to be an excellent QB and possibly play in the league. He is much improved over last year (I was at both games) and when he got a smidgen of time last week me made some great throws. His biggest problem is not enough talent around him (especially OL). The up-shoot of all this is that our D put a lot pressure on him and made him look bad. So, I would add to your THE GOOD - our front 7 on D.

I might add also, the Tulane 9 man defense was a bad (ugly) idea.
