Former Georgia Tech running back and football radio analyst Roddy Jones is joining the ACC Network TV broadcast team as the sideline reporter (http://raycomsports.com/acc-network...tball-katie-witham-and-roddy-jones-join-team/). A search for Roddy’s replacement will begin shortly. Below is a statement from Roddy:

“I want to first thank all of Yellow Jacket Nation for their support over the last year during my time as a part of the Georgia Tech radio team. As I took over for Rick Strom, he told me ‘There's nothing like being able to call games for your alma mater,’ and he was right in so many ways. This past football season was as memorable as any I have ever been a part of and as a former player I could not have been prouder to be along for the ride. I want to thank Mike Bobinski and his staff for selecting me to be a part of the broadcast team and Coach (Paul) Johnson and his staff for always making sure I feel like I'm still a part of the GT Football family. I also have to thank the guys that I worked with Sean Bedford, Randy Waters, Miller Pope, Stephen Hartzell, and, of course, Brandon Gaudin for not only helping me grow as a broadcaster over the course of the year, but making it so much fun week in and week out.

“Georgia Tech will always hold a special place in my heart and it is because of the people that make up the Tech family. So thank you again to all of you for all of your support both on the field and in the booth. That's what makes it all worth it and makes me proud be able to represent the Institute.”

As always,

Go Jackets!
