I think alot of people on this board need to relax and stop worrying so much about the star rankings and let the coaches do their jobs. I used to bash the coaches on this board for taking unranked and 2 star players until they proved me wrong with guys like P.J Davis, Shaq Mason, Zach Laskey, Adam Gotsis, and Julian Burnett. Yes they have missed on some two stars but everybody freaks out when they see 2 stars by a kids name. There are tons of good players that are not even ranked.
I sat at a high school football game a couple years back and watched a kid by the name Devon Edwards that NOBODY recruited and he was less than 30 miles from Georgia Tech. I actually watched him three to four times and he was one of the most explosive players at that level I have ever seen, especially returning the football on punts and kickoffs. I knew his high school coach and every time I would ask the coach has anybody offered and he replied nope, nobody has even come to visit him. Less than 2 weeks before signing day David Cutcliff came by and offered and if you don't know him to well he returned a kickoff against us this year against duke at a very critical time to seal the win. This is just a small part of an article about him this year..........
2015: Returning starter at the Rover safety position ... returning All-ACC safety and All-America return specialist ... candidate for the Paul Hornung Award, an honor given annually by the Louisville Sports Commission to the most versatile player in college football ... candidate for the Thorpe Award, an honor given annually to the nation’s top defensive back by the Jim Thorpe Association .
and the kid wasn't even recruited let alone ranked..... oh yea to second old dawg he's a student first who want's to be a brain surgeon. I say this just for people to relax and let the coaches do their jobs if you think your going to get multiple rivals 250 and 100 each year...... you might want to switch to another college football team because its not happening here, but what we will get are good hard working guys!
