Aliki Vimahi is on campus and it is down to four schools, UVA (already visited), GT (this weekend), Utah (1/27) and UCLA (mid-week 1/24). He wants to play in an even front, so that is hurting UVA along with the expense of travel even vs GT.
GT has been kicking the tires of a pair of Tenn DBs, Rodney Owens (Louisville commit) and TJ Carter (Memphis commit). Owens has cold feet with the DC change at Louisville and Carter has been wooing GT, but has some character flaws to overcome.
Coach Candeto hit the road yesterday for the first time, he went to see Tobias Oliver.
GT will take a SAM type, Jaquan Henderson and Avery Showell are the two main targets, GT could circle around on a few other guys there.
With Harland Howell gone, GT will take a WR in this class. Michael Smith is who they want, if he does not come they will bring Adonicas Sanders from Fort Dorchester HS in SC.
Archer LB Quinton Miller will visit the last weekend to GT along with DE Robert Porcher. Michigan State people not excited about their chances to get Porcher, they think he is going to GT. Kendric Haynes and Leonard Warner have not locked in a GT visit yet, they like Miller better than either right now.
