Great listen on the direction of College athletics by two well sourced and respected experts. After reading all the complaining while @Kelly Quinlan was on vacation, I thought this was a timely podcast from Pete Thamel and Rece Davis who appear to be fully on board the player movement towards collective bargaining and representation, expanded playoff and the future P2 conference structure.
Kelly and @Russell Johnson may want to do a podcast of their own discussing the big takeaways and what this all means for GT. Make bad leadership choices and suffer the consequences. We arent owed anything in the brave new world of sports. My guess is the only way we get a seat at the big boy table long term is if the SEC grabs UVA and UNC (and possibly NC State / VT) to fully block the B10 out of those markets, forcing further B10 consolidation down the east coast (Notre Dame notwithstanding). Let the debate continue ….
