ATLANTA-- Georgia Tech football coach Paul Johnson pulled no punches when asked about his thoughts about the Boston College game after watching the film. Johnson was quite fiery when speaking to the media after Monday's practice regarding his staff and the execution of his players in the season opener.
"We were fortunate, we just didn't play well and you have to give them credit, but we didn't do a very good job as a staff," Johnson said. "I was really surprised with the way we played. It wasn't just one position it was everywhere."
Johnson said his message to his coaching staff was simple on Sunday and Monday.
"What you see is what you are man. You are either coaching it or allowing it to happen," he said. "I'm tired of watching it."
Players of the week were: Qua Searcy, Harrison Butker and Step Durham (PJ said because he screwed up the least).
CPJ said he was completely shocked with how bad the team looked especially on offense.

Clearly weren't ready to play and CPJ said that includes himself. They didn't play the way they played in camp and he was excited to see the team play and he thought they reverted back to last year.
CBC said they missed their opportunities. Said they just felt relief when they won, not like they really won the game.

CMS was kind of defensive today, figures if CPJ ripped them pretty hard over the last two days. Said the game wasn't a good one to sub at guard so that's why Parker Braun and Brad Morgan didn't play on offense. Said he was disappointed with the play overall. Said the pass pro was the only bright spot.
Brad Stewart said he needs to work on his blocking, said the BC game plan allowed them to get a lot of stuff under the safeties in the passing game.
