Quaide had surgery on his torn foot ligament today. CPJ said he could be back for the fall.
Shamire DeVine practiced today and Nick Brigham was in gold (non-contact). Broderick Snoddy was also in gold and may get cleared for the spring game. Mathew Jordan was back and in gold as well today.
Anthony Harrell, Tyler Marcordes and Beau Hankins were all out today at LB. Tre Jackson was the starting MIKE!
CPJ said Ricky Jeune has had a decent camp and if they started today he would start along with Mike Summers.
CJS said that Lynn Griffin is the starter right now at nickel with Lance Austin behind him and Jalen Johnson as the other guy in the mix. Johnson just moved over there today.
CJS said they plan to get Step Durham some serious game reps in the fall and hope one of the young incoming corners can be ready to play along with Lynn Griffin getting some reps at CB.
CJS said Shaun Kagawa has been the biggest surprise development at safety. Said not having Corey Griffin this spring has really hurt them.
Adam Gotsis told me that Kyle Henderson is doing okay at DT, they are hopeful he can contribute. He said that Pat Gamble and Francis Kallon have had a nice camp and that he has good chemistry with either Jabari Hunt-Days or Pat Gamble at DT.
Gotsis says he is at 286 and will be up to 295 for the season...
P.J. Davis said he is taking more of a leadership role with the defense.
The 2-deep on the OL was a bit of a mess with Chamberlain and Brigham not able to take contact.
