Juggling some OL with injuries, Scott Morgan moved to OL from DT, eventually they will move Desmond Branch to DT/DE the old Pat Gamble role, so he will be a pass rushing inside guy.
The DT depth chart is
DT- Gamble, Cerge-Henderson, Nick Williams*
DT- Kallon, Glanton, Branch
They will add Chris Martin and Brandon Adams to that mix in the fall giving them 7 DTs which is where they want to be number wise.
Will Bryan moved to LG instead of LT and Eason Fromayan was the first team LT. Muns was center, Marshall at RG and Klock at RT. CPJ was heavily involved with OL coaching today. No Jake Whitley, no Chris Griffin and obviously Freddie Burden is still out. The Jake Stickler at guard experiment didn't work either.
Team motto is "Put In" and it is about all the guys putting in the same amount for the team. They are having their own private team meetings to talk about things and ideas to increase leadership and accountability.
Harrison Butker talked about spring ball said he is feeling real good about things, said Stroebel and Rodwell are working with him.
Corey Griffin said that Christian Campbell is still getting used to safety. Griffin is playing strong safety and AJ Gray at free safety. Lawrence Austin at nickel when they go that route. Corey said that Shaun Kagawa and Jalen Johnson are working behind him. Corey said he has a nice working relationship with AJ because they took so many reps together last year with the twos.
Kyle Henderson said he is down from 314! to 295 now, said he felt like he let his teammates down. He spent a lot of time reshaping his body and is working with Sisk and the nutrition lady on it.
Henderson said that Brentavious Glanton is really coming on a DT and that Pat Gamble and Francis Kallon are the clear top of the order guys.
CTR talked about the defense some said that they are working on blitzing and he is working with PJ Davis a lot on his specific techniques so he doesn't get lost in the wash of big OLs when they send him.
CTR talked about his two sons recruitment, said they won't do anything until the summer with TD or Mic, he plans to take them to some schools and such, obviously he would like TD to come to GT, but he didn't say that aloud.
CTR said he wants to see more production from the LB position.
