CPJ said that Saturday will be some 11-on-11 but not a full scrimmage. Family of players and invited guests only for Saturday in the Stadium.

CPJ practice was okay, get into shells on Friday and pads Saturday. Said they will start shuffling the OL after they go into pads.

CPJ said he is looking for overall improvement on the D side.

CPJ said that Quaide is doing okay learning B-back so far.

CPJ said that Howell has looked okay in 7-on-7 curious to see him with pads on and blocking.

CPJ said he wants Gotsis to be a leader and get bigger and stronger and more consistent.

CPJ said that Gotsis is better than he thought he would be when they signed him.

CPJ said that Justin Thomas and some of the OL are the leaders of the team on offense and D.J. White is the leader of the defense.

CMP said that Hunt-Days and Pat Gamble are splitting reps but Gamble is working with the ones right now because he is more of a sure bet since JHD still has to get eligible.

CMP said he believes that JHD will be able to play in the fall based on how he is doing in school.

CMP said they could redshirt either Merriweather or Simmons, but he thinks both will end up in the two-deep.

CMP said he was really impressed with Rook-Chungong and said he is a lunch pail guy, doesn't do anything spectacular, but he works hard and makes plays. He is much higher on him now.

CMP said he is a little frustrated that Kyle Henderson can't go yet, but he is hopeful to get him back soon. Said Kyle really needs reps.

CMP said that Kenderius Whitehead is still in a steep learning curve since this is his first time really working with the defense, but he sees some sparks from him and a willingness to work and learn.

CTR said that Demond Smith will replace Isaiah Johnson as the permanent strong safety.

CTR said that Marcordes and Harrell have looked much better this spring now that they are both healthy at LB.

CTR said he is hoping for some major improvement from Kagawa and Jalen Johnson once they get the pads on and see them start pushing for playing time at safety.

Chad Clay and '17 stud DB Deangelo Gibbs watched all of practice today. Clay said that GT is much nicer than he thought and he has some things to think about.
