Chris Milton and Pat Gamble practiced today. Both are expected to go, CPJ said that Mike Summers will be evaluated tomorrow and is getting closer to playing. Didn't rule him out this week.
CPJ said this was a very good Tuesday practice. Said the QB run game and stopping it has been the killer all year and they have to stop it this week or they won't have a chance to win.
CPJ said Clemson has great players, but they are not scoring so far at the same clip.
CPJ said they will go on the silent count some. CPJ said they have 3 tempos with the no huddle they can use and up tempo could be used this week. Said they had fewer mistakes offensively than in previous.
CPJ said the lack of big plays is killing them this year because it is hard to have 14 play drives every time you have the ball to score. Said the lack of playmakers at A-back last week hurt badly, happy to have TaQuon Marshall back, but said that really there are three key guys still out (Summers, Snoddy, Searcy) that make a huge difference big play wise for the offense.
CPJ said that he would like to get Allen and Marshall more work at B-back.
CPJ said he really believes the team believed their own hype coming into the season and that has hurt them some especially in the first two real games against ND and Duke. Said they need to have tunnel vision and not be focused on trying to win multiple games at one time.
CTR said the key this week is keeping contain on Deshaun Watson and keeping guys in their rush lanes. Said after Adam went out there were issues with the DTs keeping in their rush lanes or turning the wrong way like the 23-yard TD run by Williams. Watson is more dangerous than him.
CJS said he was pleased with how Lance Austin responded to his time in place of Chris Milton.
CJS said that they are working a group with AJ Gray, Jamal Golden and Demond Smith all on the field together.
CJS said that Demond Smith is back working some nickel and he would come in for Lawrence Austin and John Marvin is also working there.
Adam Gotsis watched the game in the recruiting office with Qua Searcy after he got kicked out. Adam said it was super weird for him to be in the locker room by himself changing while the band is still playing and the game is going on.
CTR said that Kyle Henderson is splitting snaps with Francis Kallon and will have a bigger role now that they took the bubble wrap off him.
CTR said that KeShun Freeman needs to finish his pass rush and that he has been getting closer but needs to be more productive for them from that spot.
