CMP talked about how Adam Gotsis has learned so much in his three years with him. Said that Gotsis will be a tremendous coach when his playing career ends if he wants. Says Gotsis coaches the DL with him at times in practice without being prompted to help. He gave Adam a lot of credit for the improvement of the DL.
CMP said that Jabari Hunt played his best game of the year so far. Said he is still developing.
DJ White is a full go and practiced in full pads today. AJ Gray and Demond Smith appear to be the only question marks in the secondary. DJ hurt his ankle on Wednesday in practice and it was his first game missed of his entire career. DJ said that Lance was in his spot on the FG, said he would have hoped to score in that spot if he had been in the game.
Starting OL today featured Errin Joe at RG and Will Bryan at RT, Shamire Devine is probably out for UVA.
CTR said that UVA is hard to prepare for because of the multiple looks and random play calling style of their OC. Said they don't have a lot of tendencies to go off of so you just have to play sound assignment football and keep your eyes in the right places.
CJS said that Corey Griffin, Shaun Kagawa and Lance Austin all did a great job playing at spots they didn't rep at all in the game prep. Griffin normally reps behind Golden at SS, Kagawa doesn't get much work at either safety spot and Lance normally plays the other CB spot. CJS said he kept looking down at his depth chart because they went so deep off the bench by the end of the FSU game.
CPJ said that they have many of the guys back for UVA that were out last week. The only guys who may be in questioned are Demond Smith, AJ Gray and Shamire Devine from what I've heard.
CPJ said Harland Howell will travel, but unless there are one or two injuries he expects to get through the game with Summers, Jeune and Stewart with Messick and Johnson as needed.
CPJ said it is key to get through this week healthy for the bye.
