Only major notes are defense didn't play well today both CPJ and CTR were pissed.

Corey Griffin is out for spring and Dennis Andrews was out and in sunglasses (concussion).

Shamire is still out.

CPJ practice drug a little bit because it was hot and much warmer than it has been.

Kyle Henderson returned to practice a few days ago, CPJ said he is just learning where to go right now.

CPJ said C.J. Leggett had some nice runs, wasn’t sure if anyone was in the right position to hit him on them.

CPJ said Summers has been back.

CPJ said that Ricky Jeune has been doing a nice job and made some major plays.

CPJ said they did the option drill with the defense today and practiced 3rd and 5, said the defense didn’t stop the 3rd and 5 much. Said the defense has to get better, Monday was 3rd and 6.

CPJ said they are doing 10-15 minutes of special teams every day. CPJ said they are focused on protection packages.

CPJ said he isn’t sure if he will go to the Rolling Stones concert.

CAM said that Terrell Lewis has had a decent spring, though he had a bad day today. He is working behind Tyler Marcordes at SAM in the base defense.

CAM said the competition between Anthony Harrell and Beau Hankins has been good at MIKE. Tre Jackson has been stepping up with the threes and could help eventually.

CAM is very high on Beau Hankins and said he needs to act like a veteran now and he has the skills and work ethic to be successful at linebacker.

CAM said it is hard to replace Quayshawn’s experience and instincts at LB, looking to the vets to step up and he thinks some of the young guys coming in will help as well.

CAM said that P.J. Davis has been coming along well and they need him to step up as more of a leader, kids look up to him. CAM said he needs to step up and help the guys on the field get lined up. Domonique Noble is backing him up, CAM said he is up to 235 pounds at LB.

CTR said he is rolling the Austin twins all over the secondary right now and they are experimenting with guys in different roles trying to build some depth at safety.

CTR said he was not pleased with the defensive effort today.

Rod Rook-Chungong said that Tyler Merriweather has had a good camp and is fighting off a push for Kenderius Whitehead for the number two spot at SDE. Rook is still with the ones and has a good handle on the job.

Antonio Simmons has had a good camp at the other end spot and is helping push KeShun Freeman to keep him on his toes.

Shaun Kagawa has had a solid camp at strong safety and he says he is up to 198 pounds aiming to play at 205 by the end of August.

CTR was very upset about the passing of Riccardo Ingram and said he was one of the best players he saw and an even better person. Said Ingram just laid people out on defense like no one he has ever seen and that he would just bounce up like nothing happened after he laid some wood.
