Awful tragedy in our neighborhood yesterday. This young man, 11 years old, was riding his bike and came out of one road onto another and the driver never saw him. First responders tried to save him on the scene, but he didn't make it. Heartbreaking.
I walked up on the scene just after it happened and they were already loading him in the ambulance. Really puts things in perspective. You just never know in life what's going to happen. Cherish the time you have and the people you have around you.
