We all work in production environments and by that I mean if we don't produce, our employment ends. The cold hard fact is that regardless of the resources we have to do our jobs, the competitive landscape in which we operate, and the construct of the teams we work with, we must produce.
CJP is a nice guy, he was put in a bad spot by Ron Bell, and he also did not receive the proper support he needed from his boss. That said, the chart below points out where he ranks within his peer group. The chart contains the conference winning percentage (prior to last night's games) of Power 5 programs where the coach has been there for five years or more; meaning the roster is the complete responsibility of the coaches. 32 coaches fit the definition, CPJ ranks......
It is shocking to see how low CJP ranks on this list and how far our program has fallen from my days as a student. As Tech grads and fans we should demand better. Do I think GT could be as good as UVA? Perhaps, one day....
