This video of Kirk Cousins speaking at a luncheon his senior year is refreshing to see...one of a college kid that "get's it". As information, with one month before signing day he had no offers except for 2 MAC schools. He had grown up in the Chicago suburbs going to Northwestern games. He then received a call from Michigan State telling him they wanted to recruit him...and 3 weeks later (a week or so prior to signing day) they offered him and he accepted on the spot.
