Well, the playoff committee currently has 1) Clemson, 2) Bama, 3) Oklahoma, and 4) Iowa.
Florida has no chance against Bama so I think the Tide is about 95% sure of being in as either the 1 or 2 seed. If Clemson wins, Bama stays the 2 most likely. The Sooners don't have a conference title game so they will do nothing to hurt themselves so they are likely locked in as either a 3 or 4 seed. If either Iowa or current number 5 Michigan State look very impressive in the Big 10 CG, then they could be the 3 or even perhaps 2 if Iowa were to pound Sparty (since Iowa is undefeated) and Bama eeks by the Water Lizards.
I hope Clemson wins and that is the game of most interest to me this weekend. I think UNC (only 5 pt dogs by the experts in Nevada) can beat them without a doubt. Carolina hasn't lost since opening night of the season. 11 straight wins. And, has looked very dominant with most of their ride.
Iowa-Michigan State is the other key game I'm watching this Saturday night. (Heading over to the JMU home playoff game early afternoon, back in time to catch the BasketJackets at Tulane on TV, and then sit back and watch both conference championship games with 2 TV's side-by-side in prime time...woohoo!) MSU is the 3.5 pt favorite. I'm rooting for the Hawkeyes. I hope they beat the beejeezus out of MSU so there is no doubt involved and they actually move ahead of the Sooners and maybe even Bama.
I'd love to see Clemson win it all of course. Iowa is just a blue collar team who is underappreciated. They may get exposed Saturday night versus Sparty, but I'd love to see them go to the title game against the Orangenecks. Anybody but Bama works for me though among those being considered.
