any sport accepted. After my 50th consecutive home opener a few weeks ago, many games are getting cloudy now. I would have to select going to the Garden for those thrilling NIT Basketball contests with wins over LaSalle, Michigan and St. Bonaventure(the best one, a 76-71 victory and a semifinal at that). Born in Binghamton, NY and having Coach Hyder give me one of the team watches afterwards was a personal thrill. A good trivia question came out of that 1971 Tournament. This was the only time UNC had/has played Duke after the ACC Tourney. Heels won 73-69 in the semis over the Devils before ousting Tech for the title in the finale. I believe George Karl, Big Bob McAdoo(as Al called him)were on that team.

What was your most cherished?

Dang. Picking just one across all the different sports is incredibly difficult. But, I will have to stick with...1990 win at Scott Sisson Stadium

Hoping the future - as in this season - gives me something to trump that one with.

Favorite memory has to be Scott the game winner against UNC in the Thriller Dome. WOW.

On a less important game but just as intense had to be the defensive stop of Maryland in 2006. Michael Johnson was a So and really made some plays at the end to stop Maryland. That drive was the loudest I every remember Bobby Dodd Stadium.

I was at the Dennis Scott steal and shot to win. Was in the other end zone of the court 10 rows up. What a game, great pick! Was at the Myd. game too, very, very loud. From a fan perspective that Va. game Al and Nessler did was as loud as I've witnessed. Three OT's, got home so late, just showered and went to work at 5 a.m.

The UVA win was something in football, defeating a top team on their home field-even if they torched the middle of it, the night before.

Never went to San Antonio, but the Okie St. game must have been a sweet one too!

Now that I know the outcome the uga last year. But I think I had 4 Heart attacks during the game. But after the game I don't think my beer was every that good.

After posting 40$ student tickets on the Hive being available with only about a 5$ handling charge, I called the morning they were available and told the section next to our Band had some seats. We wound up four student sections over in the wrong direction from our side of the field by ourselves as the visitors. GT people a section over, but they were quiet. We never ran out of beer, cola, popcorn and peanuts. I thought they would kill us, until those heads went down after the interception. We sprinted over the mutts as we jubilantly made our way over to the GT gathering. Never could do "The Horse" for security reasons as the Band was police ushered out to their own transportation. We kept yelling "Yellow" as my son got his voice back, and the Tuba Men were firing back "Jackets" all the way out. I have been there for plenty of losses, a few victories, but nothing like that game. It was even better than 2008, if that could beeee.

I'll go with 2 that I was at.

1984 GT - UGA - Dewberry leads GT to a win to end a 7 year drought.

1991, January 1 - GT - Nebraska - MNC Baby!

I missed going to the GT Nebraska and the GT UVa(1990 )game but had to watch them on TV . But the good news is I won't make it to the ND game tomorrow but will have to watch it on TV. And you can still drink beer watching a game on TV.

We can't make it tomorrow to Indiana(could not find a ride, even by paying for the gasoline, etc.). Resigned to watching it with a Coke Zero. Old Bessie is lucky to make Death Valley this year.

What is this Coke Zero you speak of ? Is it like Bud Light ?

It has zero calories, close to that of yer lite brewskis.
I will warn you, without rum in it...it is very sobering.
Does taste good with peanuts, like Bud in that way.
