VaTech has always been well-coached on defense and will give GT issues.
Navy put up a lot of points on Notre Dame last year- you'd think they would have figured out the spread option by now. Do you see Tech winning in South Bend? Do you think the hype around ND's QB is warranted?
I'm not sure, Van Gorder the ND DC had all kinds of trouble with triple option teams everywhere he has been, GT and Navy are light years apart offensively so it is a bad comparison. Too early to have a good clue on how that one will go.
Need a big play (deep ball) through the air.. is it Jeune, Summers, or Stewart? Or still a wait and see?
I think it will be Stewart on the jump ball type plays and comebacks and digs and Summers on things like screens, slants and go routes.
Any word on how Shaq Mason is doing? Saw a couple weeks ago he looked like he was going to be in the two deep, any new news?
He has started or been the #2 LG for them all preseason.
Tulane +9.5 at home against Duke..which side you on?
I'll take Duke, I just don't think Tulane is that good.
As mentioned at the JOL Luncheon, there seems to be some intentional muddying of the waters by the staff at Bback and DT. How do you think the depth at those two key positions shakes out?
I think Skov will start for a while if not all year if he is healthy, I think he is a better every down option. DT I think JHD and Gotsis start and Gamble and Kallon rotate and maybe you see Glanton in situations.
Do you think CPJ pulls a kansas on Cutcliffe this year?
If he can beat them 100-0, he would, let's put it that way. He did not enjoy losing to Duke.

Sewak says we'll have an eight man OL rotation with Marshall and Klock being two of the extra three. Which one from Fromayan, Brown, Stickler, Bryan and Whitley do you think is the most likely for the eighth man?
Will Bryan is head and shoulders above those others and the only true tackle right now. He is #8
Qua is still listed at 168 lbs. Understand he's excellent with the ball in his hands but how is his blocking, being such a lightweight? Which of our ABs are the best blockers?
The weights are not accurate, please understand that... Best blocker is Ike Willis and after that it is a toss up.
Is it solid that Smelter, Waller and Shaq are on their teams?Any chance Synjyn gets picked up? Is Laskey still hanging on? How are Isiah and Q doing?
Isaiah is hanging on by a thread, but he will get picked up by someone else if they cut him or will go practice squad. Laskey survived the last cut. Shaq, Waller and Smelter are fine. Tennessee worked out Synjyn but didn't sign him.
Of our true freshman, seems like we hear a lot of love for Mitchell, Bryan and Gray from coaches and varsity players. Who else of our newbies are getting kudos from coaches and older players?

Good chance MLD plays, Philpott they plan to redshirt.
