Any word/thought/feeling regarding the early enrollees, good or bad?

Not much yet, Mills is very physically impressive for a freshman and CMP is really excited about Branch and his size at DE.

Is a DL graduate transfer still a possibility? If you already addressed this, I missed it.

Adams and Woods squeezed that spot out for now unless there is attrition.

We had staff shuffling out and in on our recruiting support staff. Heard a "media specialist" was added? Are we finally beginning to utilize technology better? Who are the players on the support team now that restaffing is complete? (The recruitment of talented PWOs was impressive). All detailson this unt, the people now in place and backgrounds, would be welcome.

Not yet, Waggoner was the guy who put together the PWO class. Restaffing is not done yet, but the people are picked just are waiting on background checks from what I've heard.

Odds 2017 is Tech's best recruiting class in CPJ's tenure?

I have no idea right now.

Probability you or Red put the Depth Chart in a Sticky Thread?

Very high, waiting on a couple of questions I'm going to talk to CPJ about before I do one, hoping to do something a little better than just a sticky.

How does this years group of walk-ons compare to past seasons, numbers-wise?

Numbers are the same year to year, if they all show, it will be the best one. You have X number of spots per year, I think it is 10...

Does the staff take a certain number or is there fluctuation from year to year?

Not really, there are always guys in the wings in different classes like a Davis Beard, the OL who walked on from Air Force that will take a spot, but the preferred guys mostly stay unless they get a scholarship somewhere.

Any walk-ons that stand out as D1 level 2-deep players, particularly on the O-Line?

I don't know enough about them to be honest, I think most schools don't have many if any D1 walk-ons out of the box. I won't BS you and tell you I know much about most of these kids that are walking on...

Now that we have more depth at DE, do you see any possibility where they could put in a package to pressure the passer that would shift Freeman to a linebacker, or wildcatspot?

I think that is possible or at least something CTR needs to look at.

In the most recent mailbag you had the B-back position rated lower on the list. Interested in your thoughts there. We seem to have some upgraded talent at the position, and some of them with experience. Was your concern, talent, game experience, or reluctance to block that can't be solved with spring and preseason coaching?

Lack of game experience bothers me some and toughness. I haven't seen Leggett or Quaide yet so they could be X factors.

Thanks Kelly. Provided GT keeps him one more year, what's your confidence level that M-Bob does not royally screw this up in the way of another unfathomable extension? If you had to guess, how would the terms change from what they are currently are now, which I believe is $1.4MM total buyout, 75% after this season and 50% after next. Or would they even change at all?

I think you might see an option year for BG with no buyout or something really paltry, but no big money deal unless something spectacularly strange happened let GT went to the Sweet 16 or something even then I think it would just be a touch more cash and no buyout.

From what you have seen, compare Dedrick Mills' game to other BBs under CPJ.

It is hard to compare him to other guys, he is good vision, cut and gone guy like Marcus Marshall, but he is much more physical in HS than Marshall. The other thing with Mills is he is just as good a LB as a B-back so it will be interesting to see if they end up moving him over there for depth if the B-back situation is good.

Was the locker room a problem at all during the 2015 season? We all know how much losing those key Srs. from 2014 hurt, along with mass injuries and mounting disappointment from losses. How did the guys hold up and did any bickering take place that you know of? Was our overall team chemistry still strong? I know it's difficult to match 2014 - that's probably the most unselfish GT team I have ever seen.

They had some maturity issues with some of the younger guys and some people had to grow up, that is common when you have 26 true freshmen plus another 20+ under 20. I mean there was nothing particularly bad, they just didn't know how to win yet because they were young and the SR veteran guys were not the most vocal bunch.

update on offers for 2017 prospects please

Click here. There is a thread at the top of the board updated almost every day or when there is an offer, it only has guys actively considering GT.

Is Jordan Price a possible pg grad transfer?

I'm not sure how his academics look, he left AU and transferred to La Salle so sometimes it is hard to be done in time for him to be a grad transfer. If he is, GT will probably be on him for sure.

How was the locker room LY? Believe PJ talked about how good it was in 2014

See above.

Did JT regress that much at QB last year? Does he need a really good bback and WR to be succesful?

I think him or any other QB needs a competent and capable group around him and he had one guy, Clinton Lynch at A-back most of the year, none at B-back and Ricky Jeune was the only one that could break man coverage at WR, that would suck for JT or Nesbitt or T-Ham or Reynolds at Navy. Most years that PJ has had a lot of success as a HC he has had veteran or really experienced/savvy skill guys around a QB with above average talent like Nesbitt in 2009 or JT in 2014, they are working toward that again now.

Does GT have any prospects for late BBall signing period or likely using for grad transfer?

It sounds like BG is waiting to play the transfer game with his remaining ships. I expect another James White and Adam Smith type, he can really sell the second one because they will need scoring desperately next year from either the incoming freshmen, the redshirt bigs or transfers because Q, Tadric and Lammers can't handle that big of a load and none are consistent offensive weapons yet.

5 years from now best player in fball 16 signing class will be?

I like what I'm hearing about Brandon Adams, it reminds me of Shaq Mason when he signed with GT only a DT version of that.
