Talked a little with the Jed May from the Georgia site in the past couple days about Dinkins. He went to see his game at Warner Robins on Friday and chatted with Dinkins after the game. Dinkins said the UGA offer that he received last week was "one that he and his position coach have been waiting on for a long time" and when he got the call while watching film in the coaches office at Warner Robins "there was a lot of celebration."
Jed said a Dinkins' visit to UGA is in the works soon, possibly for the next home game against Auburn on Oct. 5. UGA had a DB decommit recently with Rashad Johnson flipping to Texas A&M so it makes sense that the Bulldogs' staff had a plan in place for Dinkins if something like that happened.
Obviously, the Tech staff will fight to the end to try to keep Dinkins in the class, but they are also exploring other options in the case that they do lose him to Georgia. I will try to figure out what those other options are in the next few days.
