The Lady J's take their perfect 3-0 start to Hell Sunday to play the Scumbags at the dungeon known as The Stegasaurus. Tech has never won there.

The Cesspool is 1-1 so far and coming off a 19-pt loss at #23 Michigan State. The LJ's have not played anyone so far so this will be a good measure to see what this team is made of. Longtime shoe polish hair applicator, Andy Landers, has retired and his top assistant took over the program. She uses significantly less oil in her hair it appears, btw. Then again, perhaps only Coach Krysjadsjaksdkamsdsadkmaskdmsalkmdskdmsndasdhsabdhsdski rivals Landers when it comes to being really old and not having a single gray hair in his head. Grecian Formula says thank you. But, I digress.

I look forward to the game which will be televised via the SEC Network.

Go Lady J's!

So who do you like in this game?

I know who you want. I know this is our first road test. Can Gari explode against good P5 competition?

I like our chances. They've played a good opponent, but lost miserably. We haven't played a good opponent yet. We've lost by 7, 7, 6, 7, and 6 our last 5 trips to Hell so it isn't like they've been blowing us out at that dungeon. So, putting my statistician hat on and going with Dr. Phil's guidance that the best predictor of future performance is past performance...

...I predict we lose by 6.6 pts. More use of that evil number "6" today.

Thanks. I'm going to the Men's game now. Will go over to Biersch afterwards to watch the Women on $EC Network. I was leaning that way because of my disdain for those inbreds and GT has no bus trip scheduled.

I'll be taking the ride up Highway 78 tomorrow in support of our team. I, too, am eager to see how we stack up against stronger competition. This should give us a better idea of who we can expect to see in the rotation once ACC play begins (minus Zaire, of course). I missed the Southeast LA game earlier this week but obviously Gari made a strong case for being one of the first off the bench.

I really don't know what to expect from UGA and how much the new coach may have changed things up. But it seems when we play there, we don't play our best.. too many fouls and turnovers.. shots that don't fall. I hope that changes tomorrow and the ride home is a happy one.

I saw the discussion in an earlier thread about Elo Edeferioka and I can add to the statements that she's going to be a good one. The Tuesday before the start of the season, GTWBB invited season ticket holders to watch practice. Elo was playing for the Gold Squad and was strong in all phases of the game.. clearly one of the best players on the floor. Syd Wallace was also a Gold Squad member.. I'm not sure whether she is back in school since I didn't have a chance to talk to her. But it was good to see her on the floor at McCamish again. She didn't participate in all the drills.. I think during 5-on-5 scrimmages she was off in the corner, riding the exercise bike.

More news on former players/coaches: Nariah Taylor is still in school and set to graduate in the spring. I spoke to her at one of the games last weekend. Deja Foster was at both games last weekend. She is working as a financial adviser in town.

Great input once again, JF61! Thank you!! Hope you can bring back our first win on Sunday.

Martine Fortune looked good in the last game. If we can get a shooter with one of those two openings in the spring, look out for GT in the next few years!

Not sure if Deja's mom is still living here working for Delta?

Looks like we have a contingent of fans apart from that sea of red. Must be JF61 leading the cheers.

I can't believe the mutts are busting it open. Looks like a long day, long week ahead.
