Last of 3 cupcake warmups before heading to Hell Sunday to play the Andy Landers-less Cesspoolians. Beesball Richard with the call via WREK with pregame at 6:45 tonight (hopefully I can get the sound to work this time around).

SELA, out of the Southland Conference, is 0-2 on the season though they have played good competition so far in losses against two SEC programs, Arkansas & Auburn. The Lions went 7-22 last year overall and 3-15 in conference.

Their top 3 scorers are:
Taylin Underwood, 5'7" Soph Guard - 16.0 ppg
Peaches (love that name) Anderson, 5'8" Senior Guard (transfer from Michigan) - 13.5 ppg
Nanna Poole 6'1" Sr Forward - 13.5 ppg

Side note, I just love WREK commercials. This week's Friction show commercial featured what sounded like a textile winding machine I used to work with early in my career followed by a ticking time clock.

Awesome stuff. I may tune in to see if they have any Burmese midgets banging trashcans over and over.

Beesball Richard sounds like a European airport customer service rep having to pronounce all of these names on our roster.

;)

Lady J's up 52-24 at the half. Irene Gari with 17 points and ACC POTW Aaliyah Whiteside chipping in 14.

Our next opponent, the Cesspool, is down to Michigan State in East Lansing 27-7 at the end of the 1st quarter, FWIW.

Good Gals get it done, 102-49. Now, let's go kick some ass Sunday over in Hell.

My car had wet brakes/trouble while sailing with the monsoon on the way to the game. Heard CMJ on the pregame in case any of you mates missed it:

She said we would sign one or two more in the late period. She is counting our Trf-R/S from Hofstra, E.E., as a signee for this year since sitting out. Stated this easily could be our greatest post player in the history of GTWBB. Tall words considering Sasha Goodlet, Joyce Pierce, etc.
Very athletic, powerful rebounder and more.

I saw EE play a couple of times last year against JMU. She's very active and has long arms. Positions herself really well in the paint. Think of a taller Rogers but with the same heart and work ethic. She has a nice jumper from the elbow which we've missed since Sasha departed.

Michigan State drills our next opponent (hopefully victim!) the Lady Dwags tonight, 66-45.

Thanks for that review. I dropped by the Zelnak a few months ago and witnessed her working out. I posted on here that she might be our best player or looked the part. I've got my fingers crossed now and hopes up.

I just looked the Spartan score up and you beat me to posting the good news. Appreciate you, GTJT!

I compared Fortune to Nisha Adames, she gave a glimpse of why tonight( even though easier competition)with a double/double. Chelsea G. had 11 points in mop up.
