The Lady J's return to McCamish Pavilion for the ACC opener against perennial power, Louisville. The Cards defeated #15 FSU at home (79-69) to open their ACC schedule on a positive note. The win moved UofL up to #43 in the RPI (Live) via WarrenNolan.com. The Lady J's are currently #101 in the RPI, though we moved UP 12 spots since last weekend with the loss at #2 Notre Dame.

Sophomore 6'2" Forward Myisha Hines-Allen won the ACC POTW 2 weeks ago. Tonight against the Noles however, it was fellow Sophomore 6'0" Forward Mariya Moore's 20 pts that led in the win. The current 2nd leading scorer on the team is 5'4" Junior Guard, Briahanna Jackson. And, no surprise, right behind that trio is 5-star freshman product, Asia Durr from Douglasville, who makes her return home and surely will have a large contigent of fans in attendance Sunday.

Last year's blowout win by the Cards at the KFC Yum! Center is the only meeting by these 2 programs. Here's hoping the Lady J's show tremendous improvement from the season opener a season ago. The Lady J's are a perfect 8-0 on Cremins Court this season, though this will be by far the most talented team we will have faced.

The play at Notre Dame - particularly the 1st quarter and the last 13 minutes - were tremendous by the Lady J's. Very encouraging. We'll need a full 40-minute effort with fewer defensive lapses while disallowing second chance points to the Cards. This is a winnable game for Tech (note, I didn't think so being completely honest just a couple of weeks ago).

With a winnable game at NC State on deck, a win in the ACC home opener could really set the Lady J's up to get off to a solid start to the conference schedule as we hit the midway point to the season.

The game will be streamed live via ESPN-3. Will be watching *MY* Redskins hopefully beat the Cowpunks on the big screen with the Lady J's streamed on the tablet.

The hardest working man in show business, Beesball Richard, will of course have the call via WREK.

Go Lady Jackets!!!

I'll be there.. foregoing the final week of the NFL season to see my Jackets in their ACC home opener. Louisville smoked FSU in the first quarter yesterday, 19-6, and FSU could never close that gap. Lots of turnovers by FSU in the first 10 minute. Let's hope we can take advantage of the rest and practice time we've had since the Notre Dame game and start 2016 on a high note.

Buzzforlife, are you planning on making the Clemson bus trip on January 24th? I hope they get enough people to go.. I'm writing out my check and putting it in the mail today.

I plan on trying to find Karen tomorrow if I'm done moving before game time and can make it. Otherwise, will call down there and get the particulars and mail it in. My big boy is due out of care on the 19th. He has been real bad off health wise. The bus trip sounds wonderful. Hopefully, this one goes through.

Thanks for the enlightenment, good sir!

Solid first half for the Lady J's. Here's hoping we can continue in the 2nd half and register a much needed home W. Listening to Beesball Richard today.

Bummer. Just getting outclassed in the 2nd half. UofL showing their teeth down the stretch to bust this open.

Richard may not want to comment on this, because he has a job to fulfill within the program. I realize this season is only half way over, however it hurts to watch Louisville go past us as a program after our Sweet 16 showing. Not saying we are void of talent and I am not impartial when it comes to discussing friends like Sammy and Gene. Them leaving coincided with our partial rebuild(I don't blame them at all for moving on, especially Sam going with Jeff)and downturn. I still believe Asia Durr would have landed here with Purcell. Some others he would have brought in, are real talents that could fit perfectly for our coach. Don't get me wrong I like her, hope she retires here, wins a NC. She is a fine closer. Sam went back to Auburn with her, he knows her as well as Mr. Hill does.

Thanks for allowing me to vent. Give 'em heck Tech, and let's win some games now and get to the NCAA's!

Gotta get a road win Thursday or we are likely staring an 0-4 start dead in the face. The ACC is just brutal. No easy outs any night.
