The next-to-last game in the pre-ACC schedule is Friday night at home vs Alabama, 7pm WREK. The Lady J's travel to IUPUI on Sunday (2pm WREK).

Bama rolls into McCamish Pavilion with a 9-1 record. While the record is impressive, they haven't played the strongest schedule so far and that is reflected with their current 125 RPI ranking. They have only played 1 game on an opponent's home floor so far and they lost it at UT-Martin by 18 pts. Having said all that, this is still an SEC program and Tech hasn't exactly whipped a strong schedule or opponents ourselves. Tech is currently 151st in the RPI and can't afford to lose a home game like this.

On Sunday, Tech visits 7-3 IUPUI, who already has wins over the likes of Marquette and VCU. They lost at Louisville by only 9 pts in their last game. They host Belmont Friday. This will be a very difficult game for the Lady J's. IUPUI is currently ahead of the LJ's in RPI as they stand at 136. The Lady Jaguars are undefeated so far on their home floor. Hopefully Coach Jo's return to Indiana will be happier than our last trip a couple of weeks ago to Bloomington. And, hopefully, the fouls will be a little more balanced as well...though, I would not expect that to be the case.

It will be interesting to see how Zaire O'Neil's playing time is managed over these next 2 games. Her knee may need some time to recover on such short turnaround between a Friday evening game and a road Sunday afternoon game. These are good tests and hopefully the Lady J's can head into the holidays and a 10-day break before our next game with 2 wins and some confidence before the brutal ACC schedule begins at South Bend.

Gari is playing better, although as you said, against inferior competition.
What troubles me the most is that we have yet to develop a "big pivot", to compliment Rogers and Katarina. I still have hopes for a "Fortune".

Lady J's up by 15 at the half over the Tide. Kat with 8 pts, 6 boards and 2 assists at the half. Nice!! Cryor leading the scoring at 10. Great to see Aaliyah getting some help. Makes the team much more dangerous.

Now, go crush them LJ's!!

Very good win by the Lady J's tonight. Peresson has a monster 3rd quarter to bust the lead up to over 20 which Tech held on to for much of the game before allowing a late run by Bama to cut it to the final margin of 12.

Get on that plane, head up to Indianapolis and finish off the OOC schedule with a W Sunday, LJ's!!

Great news announced that Pugh will join the program next year midway through the season.

A great team win. Had you told me that we only got single digits from Whiteside and Rodgers, got out-rebounded and still won I wouldn't have believed you. But I saw it myself. We're getting better.

My two keys:
Peresson must be implemented in the offense, for when a zone buster is mandatory.
Fortune needs minutes, because most of the ACC is unforgiving if a height weakness is perceived.

Agreed on both counts. Is Fortune hurt? Zero minutes from her the past few games. I know Alabama isn't the cream of the crop in SEC WBB but that was a good win last night for our team. Keep getting better.. that's all you can ask. Let's hope the Jackets head into the Christmas break on a high note on Sunday. Here's a link to watch the IUPUI game on line and here's one to Watch ND that should give us the game in South Bend after Christmas.

Wow! Missed the game due to attention to NFL Sunday, but Whiteside & Rogers score 48 of the team's 60 points to get the road W. Nice!

I know Aaliyah was feeling under the weather due to a battle with food poisoning per Beesball Richard over the air during the win over Bama. She bounces back in a huge way up north yesterday to continue her incredible senior campaign.

Hopefully the ladies will get home as many that can, enjoy some home cooking with their families, and then get back and ready for the upcoming brutal ACC schedule on the horizon. 3 of the first 4 on the road. Go ahead and get the obvious loss at #3 ND out of the way and in the rear view mirror in game 1, though it would be great to see the LJ's compete and at least be in the game in the 2nd half.

That was a nice effort by those two. It is good to go into the holiday break with this win.

The ACC schedule will be brutal like always. Hope they get rested for it.
