2026 safety Kealan Jones from Sprayberry is still set to make his commitment on Saturday with the choice coming from his top five he released back a few weeks ago which are Georgia, Georgia Tech, Duke, Michigan and Florida.
It was a bit up in the air which way he was leaning after Georgia Tech made a strong impression on him on a visit the last weekend of March but since then Georgia has apparently surged back ahead. I've gathered information from our Georgia Rivals site guys and Spiegelman with those guys saying he will commit to Georgia on Saturday and two futurecasts in that direction. So as of now, that's what I'm expecting to happen too.
I am still trying to get ahold of Kealan for one final pre-commitment interview to kind of gauge for myself where he's at and if there is any thoughts of a surprise decision for GT. (He doesn't do a lot of recruiting media stuff and has been very selective about when and who he talks too, but I will continue to try to make that interview happen today and tomorrow.)
Even if he does commit to Georgia on Saturday, it's still a long way to Signing Day, and Georgia Tech will certainly not be throwing in the towel as Cory Peoples is very high on Jones and was in on him before Georgia got in the mix.
