The JJ's host the Eagles and hope to sweep the season series for the second consecutive year.

As of this posting on Tuesday afternoon, the JJ's are 11th in the RPI. The Eagles, who are tied for 2nd in the Sun Belt at 6-3 (15-8 overall) are at #120 in the RPI.

The Eagles are 3-1 in midweek games this season with the only loss being a heart breaker at home against the Jackets. Southern led 3-2 heading to the top of the 9th before the JJ's scratched across the tying run and sending to extra innings. Ultimately, the game finished with a Jackets 6-5 win in 16 innings, the longest game in innings played in Tech program history. Tech scored 3 in the top of the 16th and then held on after 2 Eagles runs in the bottom of the 16th for the win.

This is the beginning of a 4-game homestand this week as Duke follows this upcoming weekend. Tech will play 12 of the next 15 in the state of Georgia and only has 9 games left on the schedule outside the state (weekend series at Pitt, Clemson and Par
