according to his mother's recent Facebook post include Stanford, Florida State, Florida, Georgia and Georgia Tech in no particular order and he will be making his final decision soon. She goes through and says really good things about all five schools, the coaches and the basketball programs. What stood out to me is what she said about Georgia Tech. She said Georgia Tech is Jackson's "Dream School" and "the jersey and team he has always supported just an hour from home and next door to Overtime Elite." Who knows if that means Tech is among the top options or not, but it certainly isn't a bad thing that Jackson grew up rooting for Georgia Tech.
Also, after weeks of trying to get in touch with him via X (Twitter) DMs, text messages and even messaging his mom on Twitter after Jackson's visit to Georgia Tech on Sept. 14, he messaged me out of the blue this morning and said he would be available to talk to me on the phone tonight around 7 or 8, knowing I'm a Georgia Tech recruiting writer. Could be a complete coincidence or maybe not. We shall see. I will probably put a short update on the board tonight after we talk and have a full recruiting update story either Wednesday or Thursday.
I'm also hoping to check out his preseason game with RWE at the OTE Arena on Friday afternoon if the OTE media guys get back to me on my credential request.
He would be a big addition to the 2025 class for Stoudamire and the Jackets if it comes to fruition in my opinion. 7-foot-1 with ability to play inside and outside, rebound and be a difference-maker defensively from the film I've seen of him, can't go wrong adding a player like that to the mix.
