THE FLATS – Five additional Georgia Tech non-conference men’s basketball games have been picked up for television coverage, and the Yellow Jackets have established tip times for all of its non-ACC games for the 2021-22 season with the exception of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge contest against Wisconsin on Dec. 1 at McCamish Pavilion.

The ACC Network will air Tech’s home games against Charleston Southern (Nov. 22, 7 p.m.) and Alabama A&M (Dec. 23, 7 p.m.), while the ACC’s Regional Sports Network will carry the Jackets’ contests against Georgia Southern (Nov. 26, noon) and Georgia State (Dec. 21, 9 p.m.), also at McCamish Pavilion. The RSN this year is comprised of Bally Sports South, Bally Sports Florida, Bally Sports Sun, Bally Sports Midwest, Bally Sports Indiana, MASN, NESN and YES Network.

Tech’s Nov. 19 game against Georgia in Athens will tip at 9 p.m. and be televised by the SEC Network.

Georgia Tech opens the 2021-22 regular season Nov. 9 against Miami of Ohio, kicking off a three-game homestand that includes Stetson (Nov. 12) and Lamar (Nov. 15). All of those games will tip at 7:30 p.m. and be live streamed on ACC Network Extra, available through the ESPN app. The Yellow Jackets will tune up for the regular season with an exhibition game against Morehouse, at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 31.

Tech’s non-conference slate also includes LSU in the annual Holiday Hoopsgiving event (Dec. 11) at State Farm Arena, which will tip at 6 p.m. and be televised on ESPN2, and Southern California in the Jerry Colangelo Classic (Dec. 18) in Phoenix, Ariz., which will tip at 4 p.m. Eastern time and be carried on the Pac12 Network. Still to be announced is the tip time and television outlet for the Jackets’ Dec. 1 Big Ten/ACC Challenge matchup against Wisconsin at McCamish Pavilion.

In addition, game times for three of Georgia Tech’s ACC games have changed. Tech’s ACC opener against North Carolina on Dec. 5 has moved to 3 p.m., while the Jan. 12 game at Boston College will now tip at 9 p.m., and the Feb. 12 game at Virginia will tip at 4 p.m. (previously TBD).

Tech (17-9, 11-6 ACC last season) is coming off its first ACC championship season since 1993 and its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2011. The Yellow Jackets welcome back five of their top seven scorers for head coach Josh Pastner’s sixth season, including ACC Tournament MVP Michael Devoe (Orlando, Fla.), senior forward Jordan Usher (Canton, Ga.), senior guard Bubba Parham (Snellville, Ga.), senior forward Khalid Moore (Briarwood, N.Y.) and junior guard Kyle Sturdivant (Norcross, Ga.). Those returnees are bolstered by the transfer of guard Deivon Smith (Loganville, Ga.) from Mississippi State and a freshman class ranked No. 28 in the nation.
