As I set here and reflect on tonight's game I have to say it's been frustrating as a fan but I can only imagine what it's like for those young men that work their asses off on the field and in the classroom. These kids have endured so much bad luck. Yes, you have to execute, but sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce your way. We had some bad turnovers tonight, but we still had a chance in the end just like every other game this season (other than Clemson). We could just as easily be 7-3, 8-2 or even 9-1 right now. I was talking with OldDawg before the game and he really opened my eyes. He made me realize we could have just as easily been a 3 or 4 win team last season. There is just such a small margin for error. We have had 47 injuries in our 2 deep (okay maybe I stretched that a bit, but dangit it seems like that many) but we have played balls out every single game and those kids have left it on the field every week. Last season was awesome, but seasons like this really reveal a teams character. Personally I couldn't be prouder of these guys. Between the injuries, crappy calls and just plain bad luck these guys could have packed it up and quit weeks ago but they haven't. Yes, it's been tough this season, but I couldn't be more excited about what awaits this team next season. These guys are gonna be a force to be reckoned with. With that being said, I will be setting at home next Saturday yelling at my TV and I will be in the stands the Saturday after Thanksgiving cheering on these guys to try and close out on a high note. I am thankful to have the opportunity to see this team play every week and I hope that we pack the house against the Mutts and give them hell to send these seniors out with a nice W!! THWG! Gooooo jackets!!!!!!
