I don't know that Paul Johnson should be fired. I do think the AD should demand some changes in philosophy. The wingbone won't consistently work at this level. Johnson has to reach back to his Hawaii experience and implement a passing game ASAP. I realize he does not have the personnel right now to do it, but there is more than enough talent in the metro Atlanta area at QB and WR that Johnson can field a competitive (for the ACC) team.

I think this might end up being the equivalent of Tech's 1980 season. If so, then Johnson better take a page from Bill Curry and find a QB like Mike Kelley or John Dewberry.

Pathetic Defense


The offense is still scoring more points than the previous coach.

The difference is the defense is considerably worse.

Look at the UGA/ UT game last week. The offense scored more than enough points to bury UT. The defense was the reason the game almost got away from UGA.
