Haynes is on his way to a historic season for us in the air, but also on the ground as a QB.

Here are his numbers through 8 games:

156/253 (61.7%) 2122 yards (8.39 y/a), 21 TDs/10 INTs, 69 rushes for 462 yards (6.7 Y/A) and 3 TDs.

The only QBs with seasons anywhere near this one are really Joe Hamilton and George Godsey.

Let me break down where each QB was at this point (8 games) in their best seasons:

Joe Hamilton
(1999) 136/203 (67%) 2116 yards (10.4 y/a) 19 TDs/6 INTs, 110 rush 516 yards (4.7 Y/A) and 6 TDs

George Godsey
(2000) 154/251 (61.3%) 2007 yards (7.99 y/a) 18TD/4 INTs, 44 rushes for -14 yards (goose was not yet loose)

(2001) 146/229 (63.7%) 1878 yards (8,2 y/a) 13 TD/7 INTs, 43 rushes for -4 yards (goose was no longer loose)

He is really on pace to have the second best season behind Joe, but it's important to note that in all three of these seasons, these guys finished strong. All of them would go on to finish right under or over 3000 yards passing with just 3 games to go. I hope we can go on a run and he finishes like they did.

However, in true JOL spirit and IN CONCLUSION:

BENCH HAYNES KING.
