Georgia Tech Fans! How would you like to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: Win two tickets to the GT/UGA football game on Saturday, November 28th, in Atlanta, GA, and then if GT wins, join Governor Nathan Deal and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta on field for the post game presentation of the Governor’s Cup to Coach Paul Johnson and your Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets!!!!!!

Got your attention? Here’s how we can make this happen.

September is a big month for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Not only is it Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, this September Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s also celebrates its 100th Birthday.

To commemorate this historic occasion, Coach Paul Johnson and Mark Richt, Head Coach at UGA, are issuing a challenge to their fans across the state of Georgia. Every year childhood cancer kills more children than any other disease. Coach Johnson and Coach Richt are encouraging their fans to do something about that here in Georgia during the month of September. We’ve come up with a month-long activity to see which fan base can generate the most support for their coach AND win some great prizes along the way.

Here’s how it will work: We have dedicated GT and UGA websites to explain the program in detail and to handle donations/registrations.

They’re really easy to remember:
GT website: www.choa.org/gt
UGA website: www.choa.org/uga (You can pass along to any UGA fans you might have, if any.)

Since it is CHOA’s 100th birthday, we’re asking fans to go to their team’s website and make a $100 donation. Our goal is 100 donations per week (400 total). Every GT donor’s name will go into a GT team pool and on the first Monday in October (10/5) we will have a drawing for  20 GT Nike Footballs autographed by Coach Paul Johnson 20 Official NCAA Baseballs autographed by Atlanta Braves new MLB Hall of Famer, John Smoltz.

THERE WILL ALSO BE TWO GRAND PRIZE DRAWINGS – one for GT & one for UGA: GT Grand Prize Winner will receive: One (1) Paul Johnson autographed GT FootballOne (1) John Smoltz autographed HOF BaseballTwo (2) Tickets to GT/UGA Football Game (11/28, Grant Field)(UGA Grand Prize winner will receive the same: Autographed football, baseball, & game tickets).

Now, here’s the “kicker” mentioned above: At the conclusion of the game, the Grand Prize Winner for the WINNING TEAM will be escorted down to the field to accompany the CHOA representative and Governor Nathan Deal’s party for the presentation of the Governor’s Cup.

If GT wins, the Grand Prize Winner will have the opportunity for he and a guest to be on hand when Coach Johnson and the team receive the Governor’s Cup from Governor Deal. I can tell you from first-hand experience, it’s a moment you’ll never forget. Please go to the GT website for more info and directions on how to register/donate.
