CLEARWATER, Fla. – Georgia Tech softball has been selected to compete in the 2024 TaxAct Clearwater Invitational presented by EvoShield Feb. 15-18, ESPN announced on Sunday. The Yellow Jackets help make up a field of 16 competing in the esteemed tournament.
Tech will be joined by Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Minnesota, North Carolina, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, UCF, UCLA, Washington and Wisconsin at the neutral site. The SEC fronts the pack with four competitors while the ACC, Big 10 and Pac 12 are each represented by three schools. The Big 12 will send two teams while the American conference also fields a squad.
The appearance will mark the first for the White and Gold in the tournament despite previous competition in Clearwater, Fla., such as the USF adidas Invitational, the USF DeMarini Tournament, the NFCA Leadoff Classic and the Clearwater Spring Break Tournament.
