Will post the tee times of the Golfing J's once available. Last week the 2016 season got going in full swing in Hawaii with the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Since no GJ's won any tour events last season, we didn't have any competing. Jordan Speith picked up where he left off with a dominant 8-stroke victory last week.

This week, there will be 3 Golfing J's participating in this event:
Roberto Castro
Stewart Cink
Matt Kuchar

(uncertain why Cameron Tringale is not playing this week???)

Matt Kuchar is at the top of this week's power rankings... http://www.pgatour.com/power-rankings/2016/01/11/sony-open-in-hawaii.html

Would be great to see Kooch get off to a sizzling start to '16 with a win out in paradise.

TV coverage for the Sony Open will be on the Golf Channel.

Here's a story I stumbled upon by the way on former Jacket, David Duval, dealing with financial problems... http://www.golf.com/ap-news/financial-woes-bring-more-perspective-duval

Good luck to our Golfing Jacket alums this week (as well as all the others on the various tours).

Cink having a strong 2nd round so far. -4 for the day thru 11 holes.

Playing his way into contention. Hope Roberto (-1) and Kooch (+1) follow suit with their rounds later today. Each will need to post solid rounds to make the cut - currently projected at -2 as of 3:30pmET.

Cink (-4, T47th) and Kooch (-3, T66th) make the cut, Castro does not.

Kooch tees off at 5:35pmET today off the back 9, while Cink goes off #1 at 3:55pmET. Hopefully, each can make a nice move to position a run on Sunday out in Paradise.

What a fantastic 3rd round for Kooch. He birdied his last 6 holes to finish with an 8-under 62 today to get to -11 overall and now tied for 6th heading into Sunday. He will still be at least 5 strokes out from the leader, but at least he has worked his way into the top 10 and banging on the door. Another 62 tomorrow and who knows?

Today's round saw him birdie 10 holes, bogey 2, and he had 6 pars. Unfortunately, his +1 1st round may keep him from fulfilling the pre-tournament favorite projections. We'll see.

6 straight birdies to finish though should have him sleeping well tonight and heading into tomorrow with great confidence. Great to see him get off to a good start to '16.

Cink shot -1 for the day and is -5 overall, tied for 58th. But, he'll get a paycheck in Hawaii. And, FedEx points to the '16 season.
