The Golfing J's open the spring schedule in Hawaii, Thursday thru Saturday, in the Amer Ari Invitational. Team roster and links to live scoring via Golfstat will be added once available.
It is odd to see Tech Golf not ranked in the top 20. This young, but talented, team has a lot of growing up to do and will be fun to see how they perform this spring.
TECH LINEUP – The top five finishers in Georgia Tech’s recent 54-hole qualifier will be the Yellow Jackets’ starting five in Hawai’i – juniors Vincent Whaley (McKinney, Texas) and Michael Hines (Acworth, Ga.) and sophomores James Clark (Columbus, Ga.), Chris Petefish (Danville, Calif.) and Michael Pisciotta (Alpharetta, Ga.). They finished the fall ranked 2-through-6 on the team in scoring average.
Looks like the Golfing J's will be teeing off around 12:30pmET and are paired today with Oklahoma State, UCLA and Cal State Monterey Bay. Tech and Auburn are the only two teams from east of the Mississip.
This is the first tournament of the spring schedule. They did not go to Hawaii in the fall. They have been to Hawaii many times in the past....pretty much annually in the spring.
