The apparent success of the match the Competitive Drive Initiative/Accelerate GT Match Program has me thinking that I should donate to the GTAA. Although I’m a GT graduate and played football for a year, I’ve been what I would call a “passive fan”. I’ve had season football tickets for 35+ years and season basketball tickets off and on mainly during the Cremins era. But with NIL and the revenue gap between GT and the rest of our competition; I believe I’m ready to invest in GT athletics. I’d like some advice, mainly from the serious JOL members like @hiveredtech and @BigDaddyBuzz. First for those of you who give, why do you give? For those of you who don’t give why don’t you donate?
Should I give mostly to NIL or GTAA or split it? Should I give to the football or basketball team and why?
And the final question why shouldn’t I give to my church or St. Jude’s or spend it on a vacation or dinner at Hal’s?
Just thought I’d start a conversation that would convince me to donate as much as I can and encourage others to do the same.
