THE FLATS – Junior outfielder Jake DeLeo (Norwalk, Conn/Avon Old Farms School) was named Collegiate Baseball’s National Player of the Week for hitting .417 with three home runs to help Georgia Tech baseball sweep Miami (Ohio) on Opening Weekend. He accounted for 12 of the Yellow Jackets’ 36 runs over the three games.

DeLeo also slugged 1.250 with a double to accent his three-homer weekend, driving in six runs to pair with six runs of his own crossing the plate. Reaching base at a .500 clip, he only struck out once in 12 at-bats making the weekend all the more impressive.

Georgia Tech heads out on the road for the midweek matchup, heading down to take on Georgia Southern on Tuesday, Feb. 21. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
