Could the next iteration of NIL be a complete corporate takeover of a college basketball program?

Say Home Depot provides several million of NIL money to buy the top players for GT each year. Home Depot goes on the jersey similar to Premier League where it takes up the entire shirt with only the team crest as an identifier. It goes on the court. During TV broadcasts any mention of the players lists their involvement with HD related causes and marketing. The "GT" is pushed to the background and "HD" becomes front and center in every way possible to maximize their investment.

This would be corporations competing against one another vs donor groups. Corporations would likely have to aim to be a top 10-15 program each year for this to make sense.

This is the route I would pursue as AD. I might get many doors slammed in my face and alums would probably lose their minds. But it might be our best path forward.
