I'm up in Chapel Hill for the week for work. We are putting in a new UPS facility over in Mebane. I thought heck, might as well stay in Chapel Hill while in town. We are at The Graduate and it's pretty cool. One of the hotel rooms is a replica of MJs dorm room. They also have a replica of Roy Williams Court on the 3rd floor with real basketball goals to shoot "pillow" basketballs in.
My wife and I made a beeline for the UNC Men's basketball museum. Got to see a ton of Michael Jordan memorabilia. Including Dean Smiths recruitment letter to MJ. Coach K's letter to MJ saying he was sorry to hear he wouldn't be attending Duke. Also, some letters Smith sent MJ letting him know what to work on during the summer.
While we were touring the campus tonight we were able to walk into Kenan Memorial Stadium. That was pretty cool. Walked down to the 50 yard line.
Pretty cool little town. Smaller than I thought it would be but overall seems pretty safe and everyone's been extremely nice.
