Jackets pull some more cardiac moments today scoring 2 in the bottom of the 9th with a walk off 5-4 win. Kel Johnson's 2-out single brought in the winning run after Justus provided a double earlier to tie the game.

Woohoo!

NINE AND OH, BABYYYYY!!!

Tech scored a run in the bottom of the 8th to get the WCU lead down from 4-2 to 4-3 partly thanks to Kel Johnson getting a single to move Gonzo to 3B from where he later scored on an English ground out.

Tech faced a lefty starter Friday who came into the game with an 0-2 record and a high 6.97 ERA. You'd think with our righty-heavy batting lineup that we would fare well against a lefty starter.

Instead, the WCU pitcher provided a beauty going 7 full innings, giving up only 4 hits and 2 runs (both earned). He also struck out 4 while walking 3 and hitting 2 batters.

Former Jackets pitching coach and WCU Head Coach, Bobby Moranda, will start another lefty on Saturday.

Wiley B on the broadcast today advised that Jonathan King should be ready next weekend at FSU. Kept him out today as a precautionary reason.
