There will be split A.C.C. Network coverage as most of the outlets will be carrying the Duke-Cheaters game. Here's the affiliate listing for the game at FSU... http://www.theacc.com/news/acc-basketball-on-acc-network-georgia-tech-at-florida-state-02-17-2016

The Noles lead the series, 39-27. FSU has won 10 straight in the series. The last win by Tech was back in 2007 in Tallahassee.

FSU is currently 6-7 in the A.C.C. and sporting a #54 RPI. They are squarely on the NCAAT bubble. They can't afford to slip up and allow a poor Tech team to upset them on their home court.

We can expect the opening spread released later today to favor FSU by around 6 to 7 points.

Guess we can hope they try a FG.

Steve Martin and Cory Alexander will have the call from Tally. I wonder if Martin will be playing his banjo during the game. Since everybody else will be watching the Duke-Cheaters game, this begs the question...if Steve Martin plays his banjo during the broadcast, will anyone hear it...or even care?

Wait. That's a different Steve Martin? Oh well, nevermind then.

FSU players have a team meeting and expect to bounce back against the Jackets tomorrow night... http://www.tallahassee.com/story/sp...pes-regroup-miami-loss-team-meeting/80476528/

I guess it's too late to advise them they really don't need a team meeting to bounce back to beat a depressing team like ours. Just keep it close with 5 minutes left and our team will do the work collapsing the rest of the way. Like the GEICO commercial says, it's what we do.

FSU HC Leonard Hamilton in his best Vince Dooley-esque preview of the game talking about the Jackets...

http://www.seminoles.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=32900&ATCLID=210720194

“Georgia Tech is a team that’s a very hungry team,” FSU coach Leonard Hamilton said. “When you watch them, you don’t know who is going to win the game with eight minutes on the clock. It’s a two- or three-point game.”

Oh, Leonard. We do. Know who is going to win the game, that is.

He needs to claim we have a great punter to get closer to that drunk Irish Redneck's standard...or, I guess, in hoops he might claim our 3rd string point guard is very good during pregame warmups.

Gotta give Leonard credit for film study - he knows us well as we will probably have a lead on them with 8 minutes remaining. Everyone knows how it will end, but with 8 minutes remaining the game will have the appearance of being a contest. I think it would be a stroke of genius to hire stand-up comics as color analysts for the remainder of our games. Lots of material to work with...

Looking pretty good early. We are a much better team when all of our point guards are sitting on the bench.

The only question remaining is how and when are we going to blow this 9-point halftime lead.

Gotta say I'm a huge fan of the rotation adjustments we have seen thus far in this contest. Big fan of getting your most talented guys on the court - even if none of them are "point guards".

Agree as usual, mate.

Best lineup IMO is Smith, MGH, Stephens, Mitchell and Lammers. Play 'em until their tongues are dragging the ground. Bring Jacobs and T-Jax in briefly. Jacobs plays no defense.

It's too little, too late for this season, but CBG has finally figured it out.

Tech is out-hustling the Noles on both ends of the floor. Seems like Tech has one of these games on the road every year doesn't it? Thinking of the 20 pt win at Miami or the out-of-nowhere win at Syracuse at the end of the season 2 years ago. Hopefully, the guys can finish one off for a change.

35 minutes in, we are leading by 11. Can we avoid the last-5-minute-breakdown?

Come on, Jackets!!

Hooray! The last minute took almost 30 minutes to play. Happy for the guys. They have never quit.

We can't seem to break the curse of the 'Catastrophic Collapse' that has become a trademark of the program under Brian Gregory, but I was encouraged by the rotation adjustments we saw tonight.

Tech moved up to 79 in the RPI, FWIW. We now sport the 21st toughest schedule in the nation per Warren Nolan's Live RPI. 1 point losses at the buzzer at home to ETSU and Va Tech are now haunting the Jackets badly. BION, if we win those 2 games, sitting at 16-10 right now and a favorable schedule remaining, the Jackets coulda/woulda/shoulda been in bubble discussions.

If the games were played right now, the remaining schedule would look something like this via the Vegas books...

Notre Dame - Irish will be favored slightly by about 1 to 2 pts
Clemson - Jackets will be a slight 2 to 3 pt favorite
at BC - Jackets will be laying 8 to 10 pts on the road
at UofL - Cards will be double digit favorites at home
Pitt - Jackets will be a very small 1 pt favorite or Pick 'Em at home

Although we would have lost the VCU, Va., F$U and NC St. games, making us 12-12 and on the bubble for the Mike Bobster Red Lobster Carribean Invitational Tournament, winner to play one more game vs. The Haitian National Bay of Pigs.

If Tech gets to around 16-17 wins (big "if", IMO), I don't think that will be good enough to get an invite to the NIT. However, it will be interesting to see if Tech or any A.C.C. program heads to the inaugural "Vegas 16" meaningless exhibition tournament (MET) that got a shot in the arm from an exposure perspective today when CBS Sports Network announced it will partner with the V16 MET and televise the entire set of games.

It would do this proud A.C.C. School wonders to have all games televised from Vegas vs. the likes of Drexel, Monmouth, USC Upstate and IUPUI at Ft. Wayne. Thank you for the potential fantastic news.

Looking forward to dental work too. Spend a day or two with a Periodonist?

This reminds me of something pathetic. Didn't Blewitt have a 5 grand or so bonus in his contract for Tech making the NIT?
