Matt Sarzyniak has tweeted he expects the release to be today mid-afternoon. Looking forward to it (FINALLY!).

He got it from this tweet yesterday from FSU Athletics...

Additional note: UNC site also mentioned the schedule will be released this week. I would think today would be the most appropriate day as tomorrow and Labor Day weekend will be focused on football.

Immediate random observations...

*VCU at Tech on Monday, Dec. 15, coming off exam week is set for 9pm tip on ESPN-2

*Opening 3 of first 4 on the road in the ACC and the lone home game against Virginia...geez, that has 0-4 start written all over it...hopefully the Good Guys can swipe a win at Pitt or at Notre Dame (who lost a lot from last year's ACC championship squad...and, who we seem to play well against)

*After that first 4 game stretch, 7 of the next 11 ACC games are at home

*Miami Hurricanes at BasketJackets on Super Bowl Sunday (1pm, ESPN-U)

Updates...

1. Game at Cesspool on Dec. 19 will be a noon start and televised via SEC Network.

2. ACC schedule is now updated with tip times and TV from the original release a couple of weeks ago.

3. Hope the remaining home games will be ESPN-3 and updated soon.

Check out rr.com for updated schedule.

At least Shaka Smart moved on to Texas, although VCU probably has enough talent to win on the road. To me it is a "trap game" like Dayton. You are supposed to defeat the mid- majors at home. Lose and you look like you forgot to shave for a week or two. Where is SC-Upstate? Up above the dying corpse of Littlejohn?

I'd rather drive to the Stegasaurus than watch the $EC Network. GT Bob saved my sanity by dubbing Brandon and Roddy over Dave Neal and Andre Ware for the volume on the Mutt game from last November. My son replays that game more times in a day than I smack motel roaches.

The CBS Network again...why do I get the NBC Network, nothing hardly comes on there except skating and hockey? They must be broadcasting from Buffalo or Finland.
