36 holes. 3 spots available.

6 Golfing J's battling at Ansley Golf Club (Settindown Creek Course) in Roswell.

Here's a scoreboard link: http://www.usopen.com/en_US/news/qualifying/sectional/r_roswell.html

Like the pgatour.com site, you can pick your favorites (the 6 Golfing J's of course) to track.

They include:

  • Luke Schniederjans
  • Ollie Schniederjans
  • Bo Andrews
  • James White
  • Jacob Joiner
  • Roberto Castro
Castro of course rolls in this evening from a good weekend at The Memorial where he is currently finished at tied for 11th. Earliest one off Monday morning is Luke Schniederjans at 7:30am.

Good luck to our GJ's!!!

Just a head's up, if memory serves correct from following this in the past online, they don't update the scores (at the linked site above in the OP) but once after every 9 holes for each player. So, it could be a few hours in between updates.

Carry on!

Go Golfing J's!!

First signs of some scores rolling in via the link above...

Luke and Ollie both -1 thru 9 holes...Joiner at Even thru 9...White +2 thru 9

More thru first 9 holes...

Castro at even par...Andrews +1

Good news thru 18...

...Ollie posts a -4 (68) which for the moment is at the top of the leaderboard, though a bunch of guys have still yet to finish their first 18. Regardless, that score should put him in contention for one of the 3 spots to qualify heading into his second 18.

Joiner shot a -1 and could get into consideration with a low second 18 as well. Not looking to good for the other guys who are all at +1. Having followed this in the past, it is possible you will see some guys actually withdraw after the first 18 knowing the have no shot (no pun intended) at qualifying.

Would love to see Ollie post another -4 and see if that makes it into the top 3.

FWIW, the scoreboard linked above is now providing more frequent updates than just after every 9 holes which is good to follow. Ollie now in 3rd place as 2 guys finished their first 18 holes at -5 and -6.

Joiner is playing well and has inched up into contention.

Unfortunately, looks like none of the 6 GJ's will qualify. Ollie and Joiner have been in contention most of the day, but have fallen back this afternoon. Kooch will be the lone GJ representative at Oakmont in a couple of weeks.
