What I don't get is that just two or three years ago , when Paul Johnson's Navy team finally beat Notre Dame in 3 OT, he was considered the HOTTEST coaching prospect in America ! NOW, GT loses to Middle Tennessee State ?? How the tables have turned !!!

Johnson's offense worked at a service academy like Navy, where the players are already disciplined, extremely motivated, and intelligent. It is also an offense that only works well when his team is in the lead or closely behind. It is not an offense that can play catch-up.

At this level, there is a very good reason why virtually no teams run the wingbone. Defenses can stop it, and opposing offenses can outscore it at will.
