Really good stuff. As a kid, I treasured going to games at Grant Field. Coach Dodd was truly one of the greatest treasures of college football, and even most Tech fans don't understand what he was. He went toe to toe with football's best with a hand tied behind his back due to academic constraints. Had the regents given him even the slightest help with majors and allowances, he would have come out favorably against all the southern coaches, including Bryant. His removal of Tech from the SEC was something he truly hated, but felt it had to be.
