UVA will welcome back their staff ace, Nathan Kirby, as the starter in today's big game against the SEC's Florida Gators out in Omaha. Kirby was injured midway through the season. He was co-pitcher of the year in the ACC a year ago and was just selected in the first round of the MLB Draft a week ago.

Would love to see the French get back to the CWS championship series. And wouldn't it be something if we get a rematch from last year's series between Virginia and Vandy (who is in the driver's seat in the other side of the bracket as well). TCU eliminated LSU and will face Vandy tonight weather permitting.

UVA vs Florida today at 3pmET.

Don't you know former Jacket shortstop Elliott Barzilli is happy he transferred away from Tech after 1 season sitting behind Connor Justus. He has started 24 games for the Horny Frogs this season.

And there we have it. A team who had to play its way into the ACC Tournament, dominates Tech in that game, and then goes 0-3 in pool play has now got hot at the perfectly right time.

The French Commander, Napoleon O'Connor, takes his men into a best of 3 series against the Opryland Naval Commanders. Can the French finally end the 60+ year hex for the ACC?

It's been quite a year for the French. National champs in men's soccer and men's tennis. NCAA runner-ups in women's soccer. #1 seed in the ACC MBB tournament. And now, another shot at a beesball title.

If they ever get good at football, they would be the envy of all athletic programs on the east coast. Good luck to the French. Hope they can bring home an ACC title to go along with the ACC's MBB title this year from Duke and FSU's FB title in 2014.

Gutty performance by the French last night to force Game 3. Brandon Waddell will start for the Cavaliers tonight. Will the ACC's Omaha curse continue another year or will the French break through?

Congrats to Virginia. The curse is broken for the ACC. And, what an incredibly unlikely story on 2 fronts.

First, recall Virginia entertained the idea of disbanding their beesball program a little over a decade ago.

Second, this national championship version in 2015 went on a miraculous run. Kind of reminded me of the run Jimmy V and his Pack MBB team went on to win the national title in 1983.

two great games to win. UVA certainly has some clutch players. They made the plays when they needed them and had several innings with multiple hits.

Congrats
