What a forgetful week in the first FedEx event last weekend as only 1 of 4 GJ's made the cut and that one, Matt Kuchar, did not play well at all coming off his Bronze Medal performance at Rio. Cameron Tringale is done for the playoffs as his ranking (112) is outside the top 100 for this week's Deutsche Bank Championship in Norton, MA.

Matt Kuchar (23), Roberto Castro (64), and Bryce Molder (94) will play this week. The next event, the BWM Championship Sep. 8-11, will be the top 70 so Castro needs to make this week's cut and hold his position while Molder needs a win most likely.

This week's Deutsche Bank event will begin on Friday and finish on Labor Day Monday. The weather is going to be picture perfect all 4 days. NBC will have live network coverage on Sun & Mon.

I hope they finish 1,2, 3 and for me-it doesn't matter which one wins, places or shows.

Wait, that's quarter horse racing.

Roberto Castro will a solid -4 today. Just 1 shot off the lead. 5 birdies and a bogey.

Bryce Molder is -2 thru 12 holes as well. Kuchar is -1 thru 14.

All 3 guys tee off Saturday morning in Round 2 with Castro off first at 8:15am. Think they'll be getting updates on how the Jackets are doing in Ireland?

Very good play by all 3 GJ's in today's 2nd round.

  • Castro carded a -2 (69) today to get to -6 and is currently in the top 10 and 3 strokes off the lead.
  • Both Kooch and Molder fired 4-under 67's to finish at -5 for the tournament and in contention as well.

Nice!
